Once upon a time, there was a children’s book illustrator named Kyria, who believed every story should have a home.
She spends her days drawing stories to life… and sometimes getting a little lost in them.
Now come and step into my world, full of cosy corners, hand-drawn stuffs, LOADS of coffee, and a bit of magic.

“Through books we give kids empathy, kindness, love, healing, and the space and time to be with their own thoughts, to reflect on their lives, to understand others. And these gifts are more precious now than ever.”
Tristan Banks, The gift of Reading for the next generation.
I came across that quote one rainy afternoon, and it made me realise how deeply stories root themselves in us from the very beginning. Even without noticing, they open little doors… showing us what life could be. Some stories make you dream of the sea, some make you want to travel the world, and others make you a little braver, a little kinder, a little more yourself.
Whatever character we fall in love with, we carry a piece of them with us. That’s the quiet power of stories, they help us imagine who we might become.

Author’s Corner
Advice, insights, and little behind-the-pages secrets about storytelling, publishing, and creative collaboration.
Have a little explore through the pages I’ve been drawing : the stories, scenes, and sketches that have kept me busy lately…
I like to think these pages are still waiting for a few more stories… maybe yours.
This year, I was asked to illustrate an exhibition for Colchester Museum, filled with legends, history, and myth.
I loved witnessing all the little visitors wandering through, spotting dragons and treasures, and maybe leaving with a few imagined adventures of their own.

Let’s work together
I take on a few book projects each year, and each one is built on close collaboration with the author, from first idea to finished pages.
If you feel ready to start your book journey, I’d be happy to talk you through my process and what working together could look like.

Join My Little Correspondence
Not every story begins right away but I’d love to stay connected with you for a while.
I write a small correspondence called Storybook Mail, a gentle mix of notes about the projects I’m working on, thoughts on creativity, art and into the book-publishing world. Sometimes it’s practical, sometimes it’s reflective, and sometimes it’s simply a bit of me, trying to make sense of it all…
Whenever I can, I like to write the old-fashioned way: a real letter from my desk to your letterbox. You’re always welcome to write back (no pressure, but I do have rather nice stationery).
Mostly, I just love keeping in touch with people who share a love for stories & magical business of making them.
